The fastest-rising Zydeco artist in Louisiana will perform for the first time at the popular McNeese Cowboy Block Party in Lake Charles this week. Rusty Metoyer who is from Lake Charles will be rocking with his band Zydeco Krush this Friday night. Do you like to dance, jitterbug, and waltz? Then this concert is just for you.

Get ready to jitterbug, waltz, and two-step all night. He will perform all his original hits and some classic favorite Cajun and Zydeco tunes, which will have you boot-scooting and dancing all night long.

Rusty was born and raised here in Lake Charles and went to St. Louis High School. Rusty will be back in Lake Charles with his band Zydeco Krush and performing live for the first time at the free Cowboy Block Party concert located on the corner of Common and McNeese Streets this Friday night, November 1st, 2024.

The Cowboy Block Party is presented by Lake Charles Toyota, The McNeese Athletic Foundation (MAF), and Deep South Productions. The block party is free to attend and is open for all ages.

The gates open at 6:00 pm that night and Rusty and the band will hit the stage around 7:30 pm.  Concertgoers are allowed to bring their lawn chairs, and their ice chests with whatever they want to drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and there will be tons of food trucks to purchase food.
