Things To Do In Lake Charles & SWLA This Weekend April 14-16

We thought it would never get here but the weekend is finally here. is it us or did this week seem like it took forever to get through? The good news is that it's here now and it's time to get out there and do something fun.

There are a bunch of things going on in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana like concerts, carnivals, and even a free movie to take the kids to. Here's a list of the things going on in the Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana area this weekend.

Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, Louisiana will be holding its annual Coushatta Family Fun Day Carnival for three days in a row. They will have a Carnival, live music, go-cart races, cornhole tournament, autocross, and a Car Show are just some of the things scheduled. Here are all the details.

Johnny Jimenez will be playing at The Boardwalk located at 1301 East McNeese Street in Lake Charles. The Boardwalk is a brand cocktail bar in Lake Charles. They are in the same shopping center where The Man Cave is located. This will be Johnny's first time playing there. Gator 99.5 will be on site that night. Johnny will take the stage at 8:00 pm.

Movies Under The Stars is tonight at the McNeese State University’s Bulber Auditorium located at 4205 Ryan Street in Lake Charles. Tonight's movie will be Inside Out. 

Koozies Daquiri's and Sports Bar will have Briana Lanette Friday night from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm tonight. Koozies are located at 2622 Highway 14 East in Lake Charles.

The Golden Nugget Casino in Lake Charles will have the legendary rock band STYX live tonight, Friday, April 14th inside the Grand Event Center. The show gets underway at 8:30 pm.
