This Weekend: Lake Charles Becomes the Adventure Capital of the Gulf Coast
Hey folks! Gather 'round, because I've got the scoop on the biggest event hitting Lake Charles this weekend—the Central Gulf Coast Boat, Sport & RV Show! From January 10th to 12th, 2025, the Lake Charles Civic Center at 900 Lakeshore Drive is transforming into a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts.
This show is massive, covering over 100,000 square feet packed with the latest boats, RVs, personal watercraft, ATVs, fishing gear, and more. It's a one-stop shop to compare and find your next adventure companion.
Here are the show hours:
- Friday: 12 PM – 7 PM
- Saturday: 10 AM – 7 PM
- Sunday: 11 AM – 5 PM
Admission is $10 for adults (cash or credit), but kids 15 and under get in free! Plus, Friday is Family Day—children 12 and under can fish for free at the Fish-O-Rama Rainbow Trout Pond.
Speaking of fishing, don't miss the 5,000-gallon Bass Tub, a 42-foot-long mobile aquarium where you can watch bass strike lures. There will be daily clinics from a nationally recognized fishing expert.
For the kids, the Famous Fish-O-Rama Rainbow Trout Pond is a must. It's an indoor pond stocked with rainbow trout—rods and bait are provided, so they can test their fishing skills and maybe even catch dinner.
If you're traveling from out of town, there are hotel options nearby. The Holiday Inn & Suites at 2940 Lake St. offers rooms at $109 plus tax, including breakfast for up to two adults and children under 12. The Quality Inn & Suites at 401 N Lakeshore Dr. has rooms starting at $84, also with breakfast included.
This event is organized by BAC Productions, LLC, a company with over 31 years of experience in producing quality recreational shows.
So, saddle up and head on down to the Lake Charles Civic Center this weekend. Whether you're looking to buy a new boat or RV, or just want to have some family fun, the Central Gulf Coast Boat, Sport & RV Show has something for everyone. Don't miss out!
