The college football season is back and for McNeese fans, this weekend is the first home game of the 2024 season. It is also the return of the popular concert series, The Cowboy Block Parties. The Cowboy Block Party is a free event for all ages, fans, and students and happens every Friday night before every home game for the McNeese Cowboys football team.

This event has been going on for several years and the Grove is packed with poke fans, McNeese students, Food trucks, and second-to-none live concerts that all fans can attend for free, brought to you by Lake Charles Toyota.

The first home game for your McNeese Cowboys will take place this Saturday, August 31, 2024, here in Lake Charles as the Pokes will host Southern at the hole.

**Update** The first Cowboy Block Party of the season will take place tonight, August 30th, 2024, and has been moved inside the Legacy Center which is where the basketball team plays its games.

Admission is free and open to all ages. You can also bring your chairs and favorite beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) to the black party. Get ready for another great year of football, concerts, and fun starting tonight!
