Here are five suggestions to assist you in navigating the time change:

1. Stop drinking coffee. This weekend, avoid caffeine at least six hours before bed. In general it's a wise thing to do, but this weekend it's even more crucial.

2. No booze. Even one drink can make it difficult to fall asleep. So maybe refrain from drinking tomorrow night.

3. Eat a small dinner. Two to three hours before you want to go to bed, avoid eating a meal. Your sleep quality may suffer as a result.

4. Create a sleeping environment in your bed. Meaning, no phones or tablets, and new clean linens.
