LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA: Tropical Strom Francine is expected to turn into a hurricane before making impact with the Louisiana coast on Wednesday night. We have all the details.
TS Francine is currently expected to strengthen to a category one hurricane however, meteorologists are saying that you should always prepare for a category higher than forecasted to be on the safe side of your hurricane preparation plans.

Currently, Tropical Storm Francine is traveling at 5 mph NNW and has maximum sustained winds of 60 mph. Category one hurricanes have winds of 74-95 mph. We could have a hurricane at the 4pm NHC update if Francine begins to develop a clear eye of circulation between now and then.
