On September 13, 1996, one of hip-hop's greatest MC's to date died from internal bleeding, days after he sustained multiple gun shot  wounds in a drive-by shooting on the streets of Las Vegas. 17 years later today we still mourn the death of Tupac Amaru Shakur.

Rapper Prodigy of New York based rap group 'Mobb Deep' released an auto-biography in the spring of 2011 where he revealed some interesting things about various individuals in the realm of hip-hop, amazingly this book is just starting to catch some mainstream attention.

In 1995 Tupac Shakur was sued by the Estate of a Texas State Trooper who was killed. The Troopers family claimed Tupac's music incited police shootings.
