Proposed Louisiana law would forbid anyone from staging a protest or other assembly outside someone's house, sparking debate over the First Amendment.

The ACLU has filed a suit asking for a restraining order against Baton Rouge Police. The suit suggests that police tactics are a deterrent to protesters who have the right to peacefully demonstrate.

It's not like we weren't expecting a legal challenge on this issue. The problem is that we the people are going to have to foot the bill for a lawsuit that will be a moot point in six months anyway.

The City of St. Martinville is planning on banning Rap music with obscene lyrics from their Mardi Gras parades, but the ACLU says, that's illegal.
