Joshua Ledet

So the Joshua Ledet reign came to an end on "American Idol," but its just beginning for him nationally. Joshua was loved by so many -- and not only here in Louisiana. We probably got about 10- 15 calls during the week from Idaho, Michigan, Texas and so many other states from people wanting to get those team Josh T-shirts and show their support for Joshua!

America voted Joshua Ledet off "American Idol" Thursday, and now Jessica Sanchez will take on Phillip Phillips for the crown.  As Joshua's journey takes a different direction, I thought it would be cool to take a look back at all that he's accomplished.

It took me a minute to absorb the fact that Joshua didn't make the final two.  I was confident that he was going to make it through.  Phillip Phillps is a great singer, however he's not as great as Joshua.

What a night!  I can't believe he had the energy to sing the way he did tonight.  I think it's safe to say Joshua was exhausted after all the festivities we had this past Saturday.

We can't stop now people!  The finale is next week and a new American Idol will be crowned!

I was looking around on Facebook and found that "American Idol" band director Ray Chew has posted a picture of the set list for tonight's show! It includes the duets and songs pick by Jimmy Iovine. Question is, which of these songs will Joshua Ledet sing tonight on the show? Take a look and start guessing!

I had a chance to arrive at Burton Coliseum a bit early on Saturday, so I took a couple of  photos of fans preparing and waiting patiently for Joshua Ledet's arrival. As well as some photos of the audio/visual crews  and volunteers hard at work.

They say that  'no man is an island,' and if you meet the family of 'American Idol' contestant Joshua Ledet, you'll realize that he's got a whole continent to himself.  Josh is one of eight brothers and sisters, so this question comes up quite often -- can they all sing, too?

I can tell you that this weekend was a blast as I was honored and proud to be a part of the welcoming committee for Joshua Ledet! Joshua came through the station  this past Saturday, and we were all over the events that took place later on that day. Our Midday Diva Gina Cook and Gary Shannon from our sister station, 92.9 The Lake really did a great job with the interview.

After an incredible day of interviews, parades, catching up with family and just generally being hounded by “American Idol’s” camera crews on Saturday, Joshua Ledet made his stunning entrance into Burton Coliseum for his homecoming concert.  Neither his entrance  nor singing disappointed.  It was a fitting end to an amazing day.

It goes without saying that American Idol contestant Joshua Ledet's days are pretty busy right now.  But is there such a thing as a typical day for him?
