On Monday, August 6, at approximately 11:56 pm, officers responded to an armed robbery at the Circle K, located at 520 East Prien Lake Road.

It looks like robbery was the motive for the killing of an elderly Lake Charles man at the Chateau du Lac apartment complex on Mill Street Thursday.
