R&B superstars Erykah Badu and the Weekend performed soulful and energetic sets at the 8th annual Roots Picnic in Philadelphia on Saturday (May 30).

Hip-hop's most successful band 'The Roots,' stopped into The Breakfast Club to talk about their success as the house band for the Jimmy Fallon Show, mainstream success, and Questlove's stake in getting the legendary Soul Train episodes cleared for DVD release, as well as his hand in helping bring the show back to television.

Back in the day, everybody was in front of the TV Saturday afternoon to watch Soul Train. For over 35 years, Soul Train reigned as the 'hippest trip in America.' Kicking down racial barriers and changing the face of television.

D'Angelo is back and made a surprise visit at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.  The crowd went into a frenzy when the Roots ?uestlove introduced him at his Superjam session this past weekend.

We all know that Jimmy Falon is quite the night show host who doesn't mind pushin the limits, & when I seen his latest "Slow Jamming the News" with his house band The Roots and President Barak Obama, I just had to share it!

Though the Trayvon Martin case is headline news these days, the legendary drummer for The Roots ?uestlove recently opened his new clothing store The Hoodie Shop in New York.   ?uest and his partner Peter Shapiro have actually been working on the launch of the store for quite some time.

Between touring, their prolific recording schedule, and their gig as the house band for ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,’ the Roots might be the hardest-working band in show business — and they aren’t showing any signs of slowing down.     Barely a year after the release of their ninth studio album, ‘How I Got Over,’ the Roots are back in the studio, laying down tracks for a new full-length release.

Thank God  two men who obviously had bad intentions for British soul singer Joss Stone are in custody.  Once in custody,  the items the two assailants had on them gave authorities reason to hold them without bail.  Whatever they had planned they can no longer implement, thanks to singers noisy neighbors.
