In a Bill Duke's follow-up to Dark Girls, Oprah Winfrey's network OWN examined what it's like to be not only black, light-skinned in a America.  Light Girls aired last night, Monday January 19th, and featured famous and none-famous women sharing their personal stories of discrimination on both sides of the fence and unfair treatment because of their complexion.

Model Amber Rose was one of the woman to give painful revelation of her Creole heritage. Featuring interviews with celebrities like Soledad O'Brien, Diahann Carroll, India Arie, Iyanla Vanzant, Angela Davis, Kym Whitley and more, Duke describes Light Girls as a study of the so-called advantages and disadvantages of being a light-skinned woman.

Finally, AllHipHopNews reports singer August Alsina and members of his camp got into a squabble on Saturday at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis . Ironically the event was billed the “State of Emergency 2” concert, promoting Better Family Life’s Put Down the Pistol non-violence program.

As for what caused the fight, there's two conflicting stories.  Supposedly the New Orleans bred singer and his crew got into a brawl backstage, over August being asked to perform before the rap group Migos.  However, TMZ reports the promoter, Loose Cannon Slim, started it because he got to the venue late.  It was all caught on video.
