Thursdays are simply amazing at the Lake Charles Children's Museum, located at 327 Broad Street Downtown it's the perfect place for an wild imagination.  Amazing Thursdays has been a wondrous and unique event that's recurred every Thursday throughout the summer at 11 a.m.  However, this fun little program is coming to an end as kids get ready to go back to school.

So, don't miss the last two events of the summer!  Come out to Amazing Thursday and learn something new about your our surroundings, complete with a  special guest speaker to explain the topic of the day.  Below are the final Amazing Thursday events:

Thursday, July 31: Wild Life Conservation

At 11 a.m., come out and meet Dan Everett and his special Friends of the Refuge.  Mr. Everett will talk about how amazing animals are and how important they are to our and world.  Learn you can do to keep their habitats clean and safe.  Plus, he'll show different animal furs that were confiscated from poachers, explain why these animals are being hunted and what we can do to help.

Thursday, August 7: Lowe’s Workshop for Kids

Lowe’s employees will come out and help children build a wooden project they can keep! Help your child channel their inner carpenter!  Class begins at 11 a.m. and space is limited to 25 children 4 years and up!
