Magic Mike
I've been on the air on 107 JAMZ since 2006, but I've been a part of the station since 2002 when it was still V107.5. I started as an intern and instantly fell in love with radio. I first knew I wanted to be a part of radio when I was in high school. I heard a radio personality cutting up and having fun and I thought, "I can do that." When I got to McNeese and started focusing on Mass Communication, I was given the opportunity to begin interning. From February of 2006 to June of 2007, I held down the weekends. After taking about a year off, I made my return in August of 2008.
I've also been fortunate enough to be a part of 3rd Coast Radio in different forms. That is an experience in itself. From the early days, including the TV show, to current day with ChuckSlugg & KynnFolk hosting, I've worked with everybody who's been apart the show.
The best part of being a part of 107 JAMZ is by far being able to meet people from all over the country. I'm getting used to meeting big-name artists and not being surprised that they are way more down-to-earth than I expected.
You can catch me every other weekend, 7 p.m.-10 p.m. Saturday nights and 3 p.m.-6 p.m. Sunday afternoons.
