California Man Rescues His Kids from Burning Apartment, and Goes Back for His BBQ Ribs [VIDEO]

There are some things in life that you could not make up if your life depended on it, the story of Robert Wright of Fresno, California is one of those things.

According to KMPH Fox26, just before 3 a.m. on Tuesday, a mother and her son were taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation after escaping a fire that ripped through their Fresno apartment.

A journalist for the news station was at the scene of the incident when he was approached by resident Robert Wright, who had a first hand account of what transpired. Wright, who was barbecuing when he noticed the fire next door told the reporter, as he’s holding a slab of ribs “I got my kids first and then I thought about my ribs and I didn’t want to let my ribs burn,’ said KMPH Fox26.

What else can you say, the man really loves his ribs. They did look pretty delicious, I’d probably have run back for them too. Don’t judge me.
