Cardi B Signs Here First Movie Deal

Today in Tha Wire looks like superstardom is literally right around the corner for dominican/trinidadian Bronx rapper Cardi B. Girlfriend's career took off, and hasn't plateaued. Already a 3X's Platinum-selling artist on her first try, thanks to her hit Bodak Yellow. One by one, tracks like MotorSport, Barti Cardi, No Limit took over the charts. Then she linked up with Bruno Mars for the Finesse Remix, and now she's setting a Billboard record.

The In Living Color tribute help propel the rap diva to bypass Beyoncé's record, making her the first female artist with five top 10 hits, on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart simultaneously. Now TMZ reports Cardi inked her first movie deal this week. Get this, they're reporting she had to turn down two different gigs to fit the flick in her schedule!

Hell that's a wonderful problem to have. Word has it, Ms. Barti had the potential of clockin' somewhere between $100 - $200K! An if that's the case, the movie deal is probably worth some major coin. This is usually the case anyway. Which is way a lot of singers/rappers wind-up living music for acting. It makes for a far more lucrative career. Just ask L.L. Cool J, 50 Cent, Ludacris and others. Plus doing a movie is an opportunity of a lifetime. So congrats Cardi!

You gotta love her!!! Unfortunately nobody seems to have any details on Cardi's movie as far as, who's directing it, the name...nothing. The only other thing TMZ reports on on the upcoming flick, is that filming is suppose to get underway as early as March. With that just around the corner, I'm sure more details about the movie is coming real soon.
