Since 1995, West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital (WCCH) and the Office of Public Health are hosting a "Shots for Tots" event in Sulphur, LA today. This program is being offered from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Community Health Clinic (703 Cypress Street.) Call to schedule an appointment now at (337) 527-4361.

Since 1995, the program has been giving parents and guardians a chance to ensure their children have the shots they need to maintain good health. This program is providing low-cost, or free, immunizations for children (6 weeks of age - 18 years of age.) Unfortunately, these vital shots are not covered by insurance. This event is to help increase the immunization rate in Louisiana, especially for children who are:

Medicaid
Uninsured
Underinsured, (vaccines are not covered by insurance)
American Indian/ Alaskan Native

The cost of shots is $10 per person, cash or check. Immunizations are recommended at birth, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 11 years of age, and 16 years of age.
