Yesterday while many in the stoner age was celebrating the 4/20 mark by sparking up all over the world. But most music and hip hop fans were awaiting the arrival of J. Cole's latest album "KOD". He started off the week with pop up concerts in a few different places that was exclusively for the fans and didn't allow cameras or media coverage.

But it all came to a very exciting halt with the album dropping on yesterday. There was high anticipation while many were hoping that he would take it back to the roots of where it all began. While musically I feel like the production really captured what we love about Cole. He is still on another level when it comes to the lyrics. He also discusses some of the effects of music on the community and the affects that drugs are having on the rappers and their fans. One of the stand out tracks from the album was "ATM"

There are already critics of the newer artist who feel like he is taking shots at Lil Pump and other artist and he is also being crucified for the cover of his album. But if you can really get past some of that and listen to the music. I think you will be happy with what you hear and be shocked by the outcome of great music from one of the best that ever did it. It is still shocking to think that he has been around for over ten years now and to me it feels like he is just beginning.
