Ahhh, the holidays. Gotta love this time of year. It's Christmas, everybody! For most us, it's a happy time. It's time to be thankful for what you have, no matter how much or little it is. Christmas isn't about the biggest present -- in fact it isn't about presents at all. Of course you guys know that, but sometimes I think we forget. Well, my favorite top 5 holiday movies are all about the Christmas spirit. The celebration of Christ's birthday, family, hope, miracles and most of all -- LOVE. Merry Christ-mas everyone!

    This Christmas

Last but certainly NOT least, The Whitfields and "This Christmas." I love, love, love this movie! It has it all, a strong family, love, music, drama and comedy. I can watch this over and over as well. It's got an all-star cast -- Loretta Devine, Chris Brown, Idris Elba, Columbus Short, Delroy Lindo, Regina King and more. Plus, the story line is wonderful.

    Home Alone 1 & 2

Okay, there's no way I could talk about Christmas movies and not include the first two "Home Alones!" Macaulay Culkin was like a MacGyver wasn't he? When it came to stickin' it to the cat burglars, he came up with all kinds of stuff. Hilarious! The basis of this movie is probably every kid's fantasy, minus the bad guys. Think about it ... your're left behind, you got the house to yourself with a ton of money! Oh, yeah! Did somebody say shopping spree? Seriously, this will always be a one of my all time Christmas favorites.

Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas

You gotta love Dr. Seuss' and you gotta love Jim Carey in this one. He is such a character with or without a costume. Most kids grew up with Dr. Seuss books and watch various Seuss cartoons on T.V., but this movie really brings the Grinch alive. Jim played the Grinch so well. The movie was magical. The set looked like it came straight out of a Dr. Seuss book. It was a wonderful movie.

    Elf

Okay, this is one of THE funniest movies I've ever seen! I loved this movie and, frankly, I can watch it every year. It is simply hilarious! I'm laughing right now just thinking about how crazy Will Ferrell is in this movie. My favorite part is when he's in the department store and screams "SAAAAANTTAAAAA" when he finds out Santa's gonna be there. LOL! OMG! This movie is the best. What a movie! This is one of those movies you can watch over and over and laugh as if it was your very first time seeing it. Ahhh ... did I mention I love Christmas?

    Miracle On 34th Street (1994)

I know this isn't the original 1947 version, but it's the one I grew up on. It's such a touching testament to what Christmas should be -- the feeling that we can all come together for one common good. I love Christmas and I love this movie. That's why I made it my number one favorite Christmas movie of all time. Christmas isn't Christmas without feel-good movies like this one. This movie is all about the Christmas spirit. Whether you believe in Santa Claus or not, this movie will definitely give you that warm and fuzzy feeling.
