Portion Of Oak Park Blvd. To Be Temporarily Closed
The City of Lake Charles wants local residents to be aware that a portion of Oak Park Blvd will be closed Mon., May 4 and Tues., May 5, This area will be temporarily closed to westbound traffic between the 1700 and 1800 blocks of Oak Park Blvd. This will include the intersection of 3rd Ave., and also the 2800 block of 3rd Ave., north of the intersection.
The purpose of the temporary closure is to allow for work to be done with a crane ton the Memorial Hospital’s root. .Motorists are advised to detour using 18th St., however access to the Hospital will not be hindered as the intersection at 3rdAve. and 19th St. will remain open.
Most of the work will be completed Wed., May 6, but the area will temporarily close again Fri., May 8 through Sun., May 10 to allow for the completion.
