She's gone from being the new kid on the block to soon being the subject of her own documentary.  It's hard to believe that Rihanna's debut album, Music of the Sun, is about to turn 10-years old.  But it's true, girlfriends been rocking the mic for decade now. Rihanna was only 16 when she broke into the music world in 2004.

Jay Z was the first to respond to her demo tape and invited her for an audition in music mogul L.A. Reid's office, shortly after he became President and CEO of Def Jam Records. After performing a variety of songs including a Whitney Houston classic and her original track "Pon de Replay", she got her deal and the rest is history.

As a matter of fact, "Pon de Replay" went on to become the lead off single for Rihanna debut album.  By the way no info yet on a re-release of the LP for the upcoming 10-year anniversary in August, but I'm more than sure it'll happen.  Here's a look back at the song that launched her career.

As for the Rihanna documentary according to Deadline Hollywood, Battleship filmmaker Peter Berg and his new production company, Film 45 want to be behind it.  Word is Bergs RiRi doc will be tittled, Unfiltered and will be inspired by the 1967 Bob Dylan documentary, Don’t Look Back.  As with most bio films Rihanna's, will take a in-depth look at the Bajan songstress before and after her big break in music and examine how she copes with being a global superstar today.

TheBoomBox reports no premiere date for the Rihanna bio film and that may have to do with the fact that her camp hasn't confirmed that the project will happen. Meanwhile RiRi fans can stay entertained with new music from the singer.  She's been dropping new joints left and right, teasing tracks from her forthcoming album.  Listen to Tha Wire below to learn more about her new LP and her latest music.

Finally, as previously reported by AllHipHop.com, Hot Boy Turk filed  $1.3 million lawsuit for unpaid music royalties and advances against his former label Cash Money Records. In the suit Turk claims he never received any money for the music he dropped the entire time he was signed with the label.

Then came word, Turk served Cash Money with 21 day summons requiring them to respond to his lawsuit.  According to AllHipHop.com, Turk is saying that didn't happen.  In an update on the status of his lawsuit the rapper told the what's going down.  Listen to Tha Wire below for the scoop, plus more on Rihanna and celeb birthdays.
