Sulphur Man Arrested for Sexual Battery

Detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Ralph L. Cox, Jr., 54, of 2711 Shadowood Drive, Sulphur, on Wednesday, May 29, after an investigation revealed he sexually battered a family member when she was 23-years-old.

According to a media release from Kim Myers, the victim told detectives, in June 2018 while visiting Cox with family members at his camp on Edwards Road in Sulphur, she went to sleep and was awaken to Cox "inappropriately touching her under her clothes".

Cox was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with felony sexual battery. His bond is set at $50,000.
