Tonight I had the chance to talk with Houston rapper J Dawg before he hits the stage for his concert in Lake Charles. We talked about his upcoming projects, as well as his relationship with Slim Thug, and this year's NBA All Star weekend in Houston.

As we reported yesterday, there’s a better-than-even chance that ‘American Idol‘ star Joshua Ledet will be returning to town on Saturday like the conquering hero he’s become.  First, he'll be here in our studios, then he'll be in a parade, then finally he'll give a live performance at Burton Coliseum.

He’s hit the big time, baby, and he’s bringing it all back home if he makes it through one more week. "American Idol" favorite Joshua Ledet will be live in our studios this Saturday, May 12 during the 8 a.m. hour and there will then be a parade in his honor and a live concert at Burton Colliseum that same afternoon, but only if you get him through one more round.

Indianapolis Colt Joseph Addai knows a bit about national championships, having played for LSU when they won theirs in 2003. All these years later, he gets to watch as his alma mater once again plays for the top title in the land. I interviewed him before that game in 2003 and again recently. What's it like to be on both sides of the sideline?

With the lost of a hip hop legend, I was truly hurt as so many others were in the entertainment industry. Heavy D passed and although he is gone, his music will last forever. Things may be wrapped up for Comedy Central’s hit show “Mind of Mencia,” but that only means they’ve let Carlos Mencia back loose among the general population.  The good news is that he’ll be live at the Delta Downs Events Center on Saturday, Aug. 13 at 8 p.m.  The better news is that I’ll be talking with Carlos Mencia live on the air during Wednesday’s show!
