Tulip Street Shooting Victim Name Released

On Friday, April 7, the Lake Charles Police Department released the name of the shooting victim who died at the scene on Thursday morning, said KPLC.

22-year-old Cody Lastrapes was reportedly the man shot and killed in the Thursday morning shooting on Tulip Street, that also sent three others to hospitals in Lafayette and Lake Charles. Two of the victims are reportedly in critical condition.

The shooting was reported at 3:47 a.m. When police arrived there were numerous spent shell casings scattered in the street, said the news site.

Police are still investigating and searching for a suspect.
