Good news, thanks to the efforts of  DOTD crews, the I-10 and I-210 Bridges are now open. Sgt. James Anderson, with LA. State Police Troop D, warns there's still roads in the state that have ice, so they will remain closed until further notice. For the latest updates on those road closures click, HERE.

Sgt. Anderson told KPLC 7, "However, most major highways in Southwest Louisiana are passable due to efforts by DOTD to keep these open." He urged, "Motorists should be especially cautious on secondary highways." Black ice is still an issue.

Ice has also been reported on portion of US 171 in the Moss Bluff and Gillis. As the sun comes up, the ice will melt and make it safe for motorists across the state. So if you don't need to be on the road don't be. Stay home, stay warm, and stay safe.
