The legal drama between Lil Wayne and Birdman continues, in fact it's getting worse. According to AllHipHop in addition to Weezy suing Cash Money for his own royalties, he recently filed new legal docs suggesting Birdman owes his Young Money artists royalties too.

Lil Wayne currently has a $50 million lawsuit against Cash Money for unpaid royalties and album advances. Now Wayne’s Young Money imprint is officially being named as a plaintiff in the case as well. In addition to YM wanting CMR to pay all the court costs and legal fees, Weezy is saying Birdman screwed his artists and needs to pay-up lost royalties to Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga.  Nicki and Drake have tried to stay out of the beef and have pretty much kept quiet.  Tyga on the other hand has also been vocal about not receiving payments.

Not sure how all this is all gonna pan out, but one things for sure Wayne has an up-hill battle in front of him as he tries to get himself and Young Money released from Cash Money.  It's gonna be even more difficult to get Birdman to let multi platinum-selling acts like Drake and Nicki Minaj go. In 2013 the Cash Money mogul told DJ Whoo Kid, “Drake down with the team for life. He made that commitment when we did another situation.”
