5th Avenue Bridge over Contraband Bayou Reopened

After months of work on 5th Avenue, the bridge over Contraband Bayou has reponed, said a media release.

Traffic in both the northbound and southbound lanes are open to traffic.

This bridge replacement was a joint effort between DOTD, the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, and the City of Lake Charles. - City of Lake Charles

Closures on the bridge began back in July of 2017, to allow for the replacement of the bridge itself.
