As America heads into the spring and summer months, the rush is on to reach heard immunity. More than 50% of America's population needs to be vaccinated against the virus to achieve that status. Everyone is ready to return to normal, and the race is on for that to become a reality.

This week, providers around the state are pulling out all the stops to get as many people as possible vaccinated. According to KPLC, COVID-19 vaccines arrived at 628 providers across the state to join the in on the efforts. For more detail on the locations, click here.

Stacker used data from the 2020 County Health Rankings to rank every state's average life expectancy from lowest to highest. The 2020 County Health Rankings values were calculated using mortality counts from the 2016-2018 National Center for Health Statistics. The U.S. Census 2019 American Community Survey and America's Health Rankings Senior Report 2019 data were also used to provide demographics on the senior population of each state and the state's rank on senior health care, respectively.
