The fans have reacted to the 2016 XXL Freshman Class. Now, it is time to hear from the actual members of the class. Anderson .Paak, Lil Dicky and Dave East are the among the first artists from this year's lineup to share their thoughts on the honor.

Anderson .Paak posted a video of himself dancing to Ol' Dirty Bastard's classic "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" with the caption "When you're a 30 year old freshman!" Lil Dicky's reaction saw him getting pretty excited over the news as he viewed the cover on his laptop. He also expressed his appreciation to XXL and told everyone to have a good day. As for Dave East, the Harlem native reflected on past Freshman covers and how happy he was to finally make it. East even commented about how good he looked on the cover. The rapper concluded that he does "give a fuck about a blog" as he cares about it now.

The 2016 XXL Freshman class includes Oxnard, California’s Anderson .Paak; Atlanta’s 21 Savage; Pompano Beach, Florida’s Kodak Black; Philadelphia’s Lil Uzi Vert; Cheltenham Township, Pennsylvania’s Lil Dicky; Harlem’s Dave East; Carol City, Florida’s Denzel Curry; Brooklyn’s Desiigner; Chicago’s G Herbo and Atlanta’s Lil Yachty.

The official Freshman class issue of XXL will hit stands on June 28. This coincides with the XXL Freshman show scheduled to take place that night at the PlayStation Theater in New York City. There will another Freshman Show in Los Angeles on July 25 along with some more events set to be announced in the near future.
