Baton Rouge 11-Year-Old Charged with Negligent Homicide

An 11-year-old boy shot his 9-year-old brother this past Sunday, May 26, at a home in Baton Rouge. According to Baton Rouge Police spokesman Sgt. L'Jean McKneely, the shooting was unintentional, but the 11-year-old has been charged with negligent homicide.

Chaz Carpenter died shortly after he was shot at approximately 6:30 pm on Saturday. His older brothers name hasn't been released due to his age, said the Advocate.

The shooting is still under investigation.
