Busta Rhymes Has a New Fan Obsession With Janet Jackson After Seeing Her in Concert for the First Time
Seeing Janet Jackson perform live is an experience unlike any other. It's something that, surprisingly, Busta Rhymes has now learned firsthand despite their longtime friendship.
While the two go all the way back to the late ‘1990s, even joining forces for their joint 1998 hit, “What’s It Gonna Be,” it wasn’t until this past Sunday (Nov. 19), that Busta was able to finally see his friend and collaborator perform live in concert for the first time.
Naturally, the experience meant the world to the veteran rapper, who now admits he has a new fan obsession with the iconic singer, thanks solely to her top-tier live performance.
"I am losing my Janet Jackson live concert virginity tonight,” Busta shared exclusively with XXL, following the performance. “There's a new fan obsession that has transpired for me. Me being an artist myself, I'm super inspired in a whole new way. She is probably the most incredible, timeless, God-sent talent that I've ever seen in my life - I salute you queen!"
It is always heartwarming when musicians take advantage of the opportunity to be a fan. Most recently, Jackson allowed herself to fan out, showing love to Cardi B and her smash single, “Bodak Yellow," during a stop on her State of the World tour.
