This is an amazing opportunity for young girls (ages 9-16) to learn more about their maturing bodies as it transitions through puberty and beyond. Young ladies will get valuable information from women's healthcare professionals and physicians in an open forum style Q & A event scheduled for two different nights in July!

Knowledge is key, and sometimes as parents, we don't always find it easy to talk to our pre-teen and teenage kids about puberty...especially girls. Even if you have open communication with your daughter, they can never have enough sound advice. It is also important for them to be educated when it comes to understanding their bodies and the natural changes they will go through as the body matures. There's a lot going on! So, who better to explain than women's healthcare professionals?

Friday Night - Girls' Night Out presented by CHRISTUS Ochsner Health SWLA is an important tool for parents to ensure their daughters, ages 9 through 16, receive proper knowledge regarding their changing bodies. This is a special opportunity for girls to attend an informative presentation that lasts roughly 3 hours and 30 minutes and is led by doctors and women's healthcare professionals.

There are 2 separate sessions one on Friday, July 15, and Friday, July 22. Each CHRISTUS Ochsner presentation is from 4:30 pm - 8 pm and will include a Q&A about topics such as anatomy, medical advice, hygiene awareness, self-esteem, and more on how to care for their bodies as they mature.

Girls ages 13 through 16 only will learn important sexual awareness and STD information. The Dinner will be included. Parents are not allowed to attend the presentations so to promote open communication among the participants. Pre-registration is required, please call (337) 475-4075 for more info.
