According to the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury officials, the Splash Pad at River Bluff Park, located at 747 Theriot Road, in Moss Bluff is going to be temporarily closed. Unfortunately, the summer water play area is going needs repairs. Please be advised that a white fence is going to surround the Splash Pad and residents are asked not to enter the area at that point.

This will be the second time this year the Splash Pad has been closed for repairs and it's unclear if this is normal maintenance or if the same issue has transpired. The good news is that it won't be closed for long. Parish officials said that work is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 28, 2023, and the Splash Pad will remain closed, providing no delays until the morning of Saturday, September 2, 2023.

Residents will also be able to enjoy the rest of the park while repairs are being made. Everything else will be open to the public including, the playground, picnic area and, boat slip. If you want to cool off there are several other parks in the Lake Charles area that offer free Splash Pads for your summer enjoyment.
