When I first moved here, the music from Louisiana was something different. The culture was a different vibe and then around 2003, the world got to be exposed to something brand new with a sound that would be mimicked for years to come. Lafayette-based group Da Entourage burst on the scene with the Bunny Hop and from 106th and Park to the rest of the world got on the vibe.

Over the weekend we lost the inspiration behind the hit song with the passing of group member Bunny B, I had the chance to meet him for the first time in 2019, they were releasing a remix of the hit song and were making their rounds hitting up the radio stations. Ironically the same way they got their start is the same way they were still working their music. A  couple of years ago Cupid brought the members back together to perform at his 'I Miss USL' event in the city and the crowd was more than excited to go back down memory lane for this classic song.

Obviously, with the news of the passing of Bunny B, there were plenty of friends who sent out their condolences to the iconic artist.

Bunny B was an artist who loved performing and to have one of the biggest songs in the country. The world had the chance to say his name all over the world. Earlier this year, Tennessee Rapper and TDE Artist Isiah Rashad sampled the hook from the 'Bunny Hop' song in one of his songs from his album 'Wat U Sed'. We want to send our condolences to the family and friends of Bunny B during this time. Make sure you run those streams up in the memory of Bunny and let's continue to dance and have a fun time in his name.
