If your roof was damaged from Hurricanes Laura or Delta and you need help getting it tarped to prevent further damage, you're in luck. Operation Blue Roof with the Army Corps of Engineers will come out and tarp your roof free of charge. This is a professional, heavy duty tarp that will keep your roof dry until repairs can be done. However, after doing nearly 8,000 roofs at 400 per day, the program is coming to an end.

There is no need for paperwork. All they need is your name, phone number, and address. Operation Blue Roof is set up for residents to sign up in person on Nelson Road in Lake Charles, in the Stine and Walmart parking lots. You may also call 1-888-766-3258 or apply online. Time is running out to sign up. The deadline is October 24.

Below, Colonel Sullivan with the Army Corps of Engineers explains how and where hurricane victims can sign up today.
