Now, before I begin, I might need a bit of help on this one. I don't know much about the area of DeQuincy, except for the Railroad Museum and the Festival grounds. I do believe I have seen this old gas station passing it on the road, but it's been a minute since I have been up there. However, when it comes to food and new places to eat, I will celebrate it as much as an actual local resident would. Plus, unlike Lake Charles, IT'S NOT A MEXICAN RESTAURANT COMING TO THE CITY. That's something to celebrate on its own.

Introducing The Station! Their Facebook page was launched just a few days ago and is already creating quite the buzz in the DQ area.

Pizza and wings, you really can't go wrong with that. Plus, it's being put into a really cool building right on the main drag in DeQuincy just down from the Railroad Museum. The gas station had a few names in its past. Some called it the Main Street Exxon and others called it Dave's. Now, it will have a new name and a new purpose in life.

The retrofit design is still not known, but they did mention they would be releasing drawings soon to show off how it will look once it's complete. They did mention that they plan on keeping the rollup doors, but they will be replacing the solid doors with glass. How cool is that?

There is no set opening date for the new place, but we can only hope it is sooner than later because I am writing this during lunch and I am starving for pizza and wings suddenly!
