Drew Brees underwent surgery to his hand on Wednesday, following a game-ending injury against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

The New Orleans Saints quarterback took to social media to inform fans that it was a successful surgery, and even attempted to give fans a thumbs up.

The surgery was to repair Brees's ulnar collateral ligament after his right hand took a hit from Ram's defensive-tackle Aaron Donald, who also didn't finish Sunday's game against the Saints after he later suffered an injury to his back.

According to reports, Brees could be out from six to eight weeks. A starting quarterback has yet to be named in his absence.
