Drive-by Mother’s Day Parade Led by CPSD

The Verandah Retirement Community in Lake Charles will celebrate its resident mothers with a family-focused Drive-by Mother's Day parade. The event will be led by the Calasieu Parish Sheriff's Department. They're expecting as many as thirty families or more to join the caravan, decorating the vehicles, and displaying signs.

With the social distancing guidelines still in place, the employees of The Verandah wanted to show love and appreciation for the mothers who reside at their home. There will also be chocolate eclairs and flower arrangements given to each mother at the community's independent living, assisted living, and Memory Care neighborhoods.

The Parade will be this Sunday, May 10 with the parade beginning at 1:30pm. It will be at The Verandah Retirement Community 5851 Gray Market Drive in Lake Charles
