Free COVID -19 Testing Sites Ramping Up In Calcasieu Parish

As we know the coronavirus cases in America are soring. The demand for testing has increased with people looking to go home for the holidays or having symptoms after the recent Thanksgiving holiday. We all need to be mindful of social distancing and wearing a mask when in public or around a group of people. COVID-19 cases have been on the rise in Calcasieu Parish adding to a spark in testing.

Results generally come back in 3 days, and daily free public, drive-thru COVID-19 testing in available now a the Lake Charles Civic Center (900 Lakeshore Drive.) Testing hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. On Dec. 23 and 30, testing will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. In addition, to local healthcare offices, urgent care facilities, there are several locations offering COVID testing.
