Houston Rodeo Is Canceled Due To Concerns Over Coronavirus

I have been taking a look at things over the past few weeks how people are really consumed at times with fear of coronavirus. This is with good reason for some and precautionary measures with others.

I have seen events like SXSW being canceled as well as Coachella and today the word comes that the Houston Rodeo has been canceled due to concerns over coronavirus. According to the Houston Chronicle, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner has implemented a seven-day emergency health declaration.

They are currently trying to work out a method for refunds for those who have purchased tickets. While this is a disappointment for many fans who anticipate this event every year, I am sure they would much rather take the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of everyone not only coming to the festival, but Houstonians alike.
