Last week, I took a little time off from my regular day-to-day and got a little time in with the family. I didn't realize how relaxing of a time I would get to enjoy. As a matter of fact, I did something I do everyday, but I took this time to get some enjoyment out of it.

That's right, I actually read a couple of books, a few books to be exact. I couldn't believe how I really got entrenched into these books and literally couldn't put them down. The funny thing about it is I have had these books for almost a year now. I have just never really had the time to sit down and open them other then to skim at the pictures.

I would recommend these books to anyone who is interested in music and the life of a few of your favorite artists. I read The Art and Science of Respect: A Memoir of James Prince, Sweat The Technique by rapper Rakim, and I even got finished reading The Autobiography of Gucci Mane. While these books are all about some important people in the music business, each book told a slightly different tale on how each of them rose to the prominence of where they are now.

I have decided this is something I will pick up again. I used to love to read back when I was younger and with life including families and work, it took a back burner. If you get a chance, make sure you check them out and just pick up a book in general on business and even self-help books. You'd be surprised at how things can really turn out and inspire you on how to make some positive changes in your life.
