10 Worst Chain Restaurants in America, How Many Are in Louisiana?
KNGT | Lake Charles, LA — When it comes to our food in Louisiana, there is something for almost everyone. There's seafood, greasy fast food, upscale places for a date night, hidden gems, and even the chains that everyone despises...we all know the one.
Since everyone has different tastes, it can be challenging to get everyone on the same page. I know its always a struggle to decide where to eat. That was somewhat eased by the internet magazine Far & Wide, which ranked the "10 Worst Chain Restaurants in the U.S."
You'll undoubtedly learn where not to go, even if you don't learn where to go.
America's Worst Restaurant Chains that are in Louisiana
Several of the chains on Far & Wide's list are criticized for being somewhat pricey, utterly unimpressive, and relying more on brand recognition than on genuine quality.
Louisiana is home to some of the restaurant chains on the list, such as the following:
#10 The Cheesecake Factory
With only 1 location in Louisiana, I can’t say that I have tried it, but apparently it bad enough to make “a list”.
#9 Red Lobster
Only 3 locations in Louisiana, I have eaten at the location in Baton Rouge and it was quite nice which is now making me question my refined pallet.
#8 Olive Garden
18 Louisiana locations, I took my prom date here in 2001, let’s face it we all thought it was better than it is.
#7 TGI Fridays
Searching the Interweb I couldn’t find an exact amount of Louisiana locations which makes me question if there is any left.
#6 Applebee’s
12 Louisiana locations remain and I for one miss the one that we use to have right here in Lake Charles.

#5 Buffalo Wild Wings
16 locations here in Louisiana, I’m not sure why they made the list, I for one LOVE BWW, but this is probably the reason I’m not a food critic.
#4 IHOP
25 locations in Louisiana, we all know why its ranked so low, I don’t think I need to explain.
#3 Cracker Barrel
10 locations here in Louisiana, I for one love Cracker Barrel for the fact that I can get breakfast for supper, which is one of my favorite times to have it.
#2 Denny’s
6 locations in Louisiana and in my opinion that is 6 to many.
#1 Golden Corral
Only 4 locations in Louisiana, which I thought was low, I cant give this one a true review because its been so long since I have eaten there, but I do remember the food selection was large, just seemed to be out of a lot of things.
