What Are They Building On Ryan Street In Lake Charles?
Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - I was driving around Lake Charles the other day, and my travels took me down Ryan Street. That is when I saw this massive shell of a building under construction. It is located on the corner of Ryan and Chavanne Streets in Lake Charles.
Curiosity got the best of me, so I posted a picture of the metal-framed building on social media and asked if anyone knew what they were building there. A bunch of people responded to my question. Some of you know, as well as I do, that someone would know what it is, while others had some comical guesses.
Some of the comments I got said,
Night time Ballerina place
I'm just guessing, but I think it's gonna be a building
I’m thinking another Mexican restaurant
After shaking my head reading some of these comments, I finally stumbled on the definitive answer to my question.

I’m the contractor that’s building it ! This is MEEKS entertainment Venue that we’re building! R. Gulliory
So there you go, it is going to be Meeks Entertainment. What is Meeks, you ask? I was wondering the same thing, so I did some digging.
Tomika Duhon-Bilbo is obviously the new owner of Meeks Entertainment, and I found a post where she described the new establishment. It sounds awesome! She said,

From the video she posted, this place looks phenomenal! We can't wait to see it and go there when it's finished.
