Southwest Louisiana’s Gyth Rigdon Heading Back on Tour
Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - Fans of Louisiana country artist Gyth Rigdon have been waiting patiently for this moment, and now the wait appears to finally be over. The Southwest Louisiana native has officially announced that he is returning to the road and gearing up for another round of live performances after taking time away from full-time touring to focus on family life.
The DeRidder, Louisiana native first built a loyal fan base throughout Southwest Louisiana thanks to his powerful vocals, energetic stage presence, and heartfelt original music. Long before national television audiences discovered him, Rigdon was already becoming one of the most talked-about local artists in the region, performing at festivals, clubs, and concerts across Louisiana and Texas.

Over the years, Rigdon released several fan-favorite songs that helped establish his signature sound, including the wildly popular “Body Language,” along with tracks like “Superhuman,” “Way Down,” and “When I’m Gone.” His blend of Southern rock, country, and soulful storytelling quickly made him a standout performer wherever he played.
Everything changed for Rigdon in 2019 when he appeared on NBC’s The Voice during the blind auditions. Performing Dobie Gray’s classic hit “Drift Away,” Rigdon impressed the celebrity coaches and earned chair turns that launched him into the national spotlight.
Week after week, he continued advancing through the competition while gaining fans from across the country with his gritty vocals and emotional performances. By the end of the season, Gyth Rigdon had made it all the way to the finale, ultimately finishing in second place and solidifying himself as one of the breakout stars of the show.
Following his success on “The Voice,” he spent several years touring nationwide and performing for audiences far beyond Louisiana.
