LSU WBB To Play Tougher Non-Conference Schedule That Includes Final Four Rematch

The LSU Women's Basketball Team is coming off its first National Championship in program history after they defeated Iowa in the National Title game in Year Two of the Kim Mulkey Era. With sights set ahead to the 2023-24 season, Coach Mulkey and the girls have released their non-conference schedule, and it includes a Final Four Rematch!

The schedule was announced on Wednesday Afternoon, and it features six games against teams that received postseason bids last year.

Coach Kim Mulkey will enter her third season at LSU after a thrilling year two that ended with the program’s first national championship. Along with returning multiple key pieces from the national championship team, LSU also signed ESPN’s top-rated class of freshmen and brought in the top two players in this year’s transfer portal.

The Tigers will open the season against Colorado on November 6th in Las Vegas for the Hall of Fame Series. Then they'll return home to unveil the 2023 National Championship banner before their November 9th game against Queens University of Charlotte, North Carolina.

A rematch of last season's National Semifinal, LSU's game vs Virginia Tech will take place in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on November 30th at 8 p.m. The Hokies are bringing back both point guard Georgia Amoore and center Elizabeth Kitley, the two stars of their Final Four team.

The Southeastern Conference Schedule will be released at a later date.
