🐊 KNGT 🐊 | Lake Charles, LA — If you’ve ever been to a Mardi Gras Ball, you know the drill. Fancy clothes. Good food. Loud music. Lots of laughs. And by the end of the night, everybody’s feet hurt and somebody’s shoes are already off.

Normally, you see beads or cups, or maybe a koozie. I know there is nothing wrong with that at all. But this year, we went practical. Real-life helpful. The kind of stuff you forget about the night of the event.

So we dropped by Walmart and grabbed a bunch of travel size things like, Tylenol. Liquid IV. Emergen-C. Makeup remover wipes. Breath mints. Small stuff. Easy stuff. Stuff you don’t usually wrap up and hand out at a ball.

And let me tell you, those little bags were a hit.

Before the night was even over, folks were digging in. Someone needed a headache fix. Somebody else needed a boost of energy. Makeup smudge? Handled. Dry mouth from too much dancing and talking? Breath mints to the rescue.

It wasn’t fancy. It wasn’t flashy. But it was useful. And that made all the difference.

This got me thinking about Mardi Gras Ball traditions. We spend alot of time picking out the right outfit or decorations, but not always alot of time picking out gifts.

These little bags felt like saying, “Hey, we got you.”

And now I’m curious.

So after hearing my side of the story, what do y’all bring for your guests for Mardi Gras Ball? So do you stick with the classics, or have you tried something different? Is there something you’ve seen that made you say, “Now that’s smart”?

Open up the mobile app and let me know. Tell us what we should add to the baggies next time. Maybe band-aids. Maybe foot spray. Maybe a Twix for the ride home?
