SWLA Weekend Forecast Looks Like a Washout With Storms Ahead

KNGT | Lake Charles, LA —  Alright y’all… this week’s Cajun Weekend Weather Report can be summed up in three words... Wet. Hot. Louisiana.

According to The Weather Channel, Mother Nature has decided we're getting thunderstorms all three days this weekend. Not one day. Not two days. All three. Temps hanging in the mid-80s and lows in the mid-70s, it's gonna feel like summer has started here in Southwest Louisiana.

Friday
Friday starts things off with an 85% chance of thunderstorms. With rain chances this high, im sure somewhere is gonna get a shower or two. If you've got outdoor plans Friday, you better have a Plan B... and maybe a Plan C too.This is definitely porch-sitting weather. Find a covered patio, grab something cold, and watch the rain do its thing.

Saturday
Saturday ain't much different. High around 86 and another healthy chance of thunderstorms. This is one of those days where you'll hear somebody say, "Looks like it's clearing up," and ten minutes later everybody's running back to the truck. You can still grill. You can still fish. Just understand you're gonna be playing dodge-the-rain all day. Buy an extra bag of Ice, its probably gonna melt.

Sunday
Sunday just like the day before, thunderstorms and more heat. High around 86 again, low around 76, and enough moisture in the air to make your glasses fog up when you walk outside.Keep an umbrella nearby. You're probably gonna need it.
