Weekend Guide: Lake Charles Events April 17-19
Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - It's humpday Wednesday, and this is when most of us start thinking about what to do this weekend in Southwest Louisiana. You are in luck because there are some big concerts, festivals, and other events going on in the area.
The weather looks like it will hold out for all the events scheduled this weekend, so now it's your choice of what you want to do.
The Rotary Club of Lake Charles is holding a fundraiser in Lake Charles on Friday night featuring the one and only Wayne Toups in concert. The event is open to those 18 and up, and the doors will open at the club on Friday at 5:30 pm. Wayne Toups and Zydecajun will take the stage starting at 7:00 pm. Comedian Katt Williams will be live in Lake Charles this Saturday night at the Lake Charles Event Center inside the Sudduth Coliseum. The show time is set for 8:00 pm Saturday, and tickets may still be available at the Event Center's box office or on Ticketmaster here.

The Spring edition of Flea Fest returns to Lake Charles this weekend, taking place at the Burton Complex on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day. The "This Is Home Festival" is taking place in Lake Charles this Saturday, April 18th, 2026, in downtown Lake Charles on the Lake Charles Event Center grounds at the Amphitheatre. This is the 6th year that the festival will take place. This festival is family-friendly and will feature live music on two stages.
