Baton Rouge native and popular rapper NBA YoungBoy, real name Kentrell Gaulden, has been arrested on a series of charges while under house arrest in Utah. According to FOX 8 Lives, the 24-year-old artist was taken into custody on Tuesday evening, around 6:30 p.m., by authorities from the Cache County Sheriff’s Office.

Gaulden, who has been residing in Utah as part of the conditions set during ongoing legal battles, now faces a new set of charges. According to official jail records obtained by FOX 8, the charges include a pattern of unlawful activity, attempting to procure drugs or prescriptions unlawfully, identity fraud, forgery, possession of other controlled substances, and possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person.

This arrest adds to the rapper’s legal troubles as he was already awaiting trial for federal gun charges. His trial was put on hold in March, pending the U.S. Supreme Court’s upcoming decision on Second Amendment rights.

The arrest during his house arrest period raises concerns about NBA Youngboy's future career and legal standing. As of now, Gaulden remains in custody, and the details of his arraignment or potential bail have not been disclosed.

This latest incident is part of an ongoing pattern of legal issues for NBA YoungBoy, who quickly rose to prominence with his music career but has since been repeatedly throttled by run-ins with the law.

Not only could YB's latest arrest potentially influence his freedom but also the trajectory of his music career is also at risk.

NBA YoungBoy’s legal team has not yet released a statement regarding his current arrest, and further details are expected as the developing story unfolds.
