As we reported here, a DOTD worker was attacked and killed on I-10 Sunday, Nov. 20.

The worker has been identified as Darrell Guillory.

Guillory was stabbed to death while attempting to assist a motorist on I-10, near Port Allen.

When police arrived they had to use lethal force to stop the man who was attacking Guillory on the side of the road.

Guillory was a regular at Cash's Diner in Port Allen, therefore they've set up a memorial in the restaurant, where he'd often sit.

As you can see below, an orange cone with a florescent colored vest was put on a table to honor him.

Our thoughts are with the Guillory family and his friends during this very difficult time.
